water heater type/placement

my boiler/tankless coil is 30ft away from the distribution block for homerun system.  closest fixture is not much farther than that and all subsequent fixtures are no more than 15 ft from the distro block.

time to hot water is forever with the current distance.  i'm looking to put in a tank and get the water heater much closer to the distro block.  legitimately there are two places i have room to put it.  1-halfway to the block(center of home) 2- just on the opposite side of the block.  i would prefer to put the tank on the opposite side of the block.

**this would put the tank approx 35 feet from the boiler.  Can i still use an indirect with the placement so far away?  Should i just go with another power source?

my wife uses hot water for everything so every time a faucet is turned on we waste a couple gallons of water to wait time.

ideas pls.

Priorities:

#1 - efficiency

very close #2 - speed of hot water delivery
