Burnham Help

I am asking my plumbing contractor to switch out my presurtrol with a vaporstat and he is refusing saying that it will void the warrantee of the boiler and says that my vapor steam system should use a presutrol.



Are there any Burnham guys on here that can confirm this. I need to get this resolved today.

Just have him install a tee

and wire them in series. He is at ease and you have a vaporstat.

He is wrong but why

argue it. It will give you a safety incase the vaporstat malfunctions anyways.

Void the warranty if you have the correct pressure relief valve installed and it is functional... A pressuretrol can fail just as easily as a vaporstat, but it is not common.

Vaporstat haters?

 There is absolutely no reason in the world (in Burnham's or otherwise) that you cannot use a vaporstat. A vaporstat offers far better control for low pressure applications. The standard pressuretrol is cheaper-that's pretty much it's selling point

If i could get a Burnham to say it's "Ok", my contractor is holding firm that it will void the manufacture warrantee.
