water level dropping

there is no visible "white clouds" coming out of the chimney, don;t really sense a change in the humidity of the boiler room section of the basement...I am thinking the leak is in a crawl space since I have a cold radiator that comes off a riser from the crawl space,. Does this make sense? I have closed off the valve at the radiator and am hoping that this will slow the water loss.

Closing the valve will not help
you need to get a look into the crawl space and confirm or deny that the pipe is leaking. How fast is the water level dropping? are you sure it is not leaking steam vents? Do you have any under ground return pipes?Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.
