be the cross reference model # of a Taco sr 501  for a RIB control?

  • RIB?

I don't know what RIB stand for, but this is what I found:

    http://www.drillspot.com/products/503002/functional_devices_inc___rib_rib24p_single_coil_voltage_enclosed_pre_wired_relay

The only thing missing is the transformer.
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

    Functional Devices...

makes a WHOLE BUNCH of different RIB relays. They have one that they call their "Universal" relay that you can apply AC or DC voltages to without having to flip switches or anything.

I like them, They have a red LED on them that lets yo know when the coil is energized.

BTW, RIB stands for Relay In a Box.

    I realize that RIB...

has a ton of them. That is the prob.... there are so many that I don't know what would be the best w/o going over board.

Just looking for a simple switch to turn on a 007/ 15-58 from a  tstat.

The RIB that Alan found will work then...

It is double pole, but the cost difference between single and double isn't worth losing sleep over, and if need be, you can use it to prioritize DHW (caution, no time limitation).
