Even though early January is a busy time at work for me, I am thinking about going to Dead Man's Steam School in Astoria.
Any non-pro's ever attend one of these? Is it appropriate for a non-pro?

i went to astoria last year ....
dan gives a great presentation, and he has all his wares for sale at discount .. food is decent. you will be surrounded by pros .. but sit up front, (you know only the geeks sit up front) .. sitting up front put me next to an engineer (rather than a mechanic) and a father with his teenage son who only learns the "dead arts" .. steam, b&w print photography, and a few others .. i admired his foresight into the past.1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC
