My system doesnt have any main vents. I therefore put Gorton ds and cs on the radiators and they vent well. My main on the far side makes a turn has about 2 feet of pipemakes another turn and goes into the wet return going down out of that small pipe where the main connects to the return about 2 feet of pipe there are two  risers going up to the radiators in the front rooms. Can I put a main vent on one of the risers?

    Main Vent

Yes, that should work. Can 't you put them just where the dry return drops into the wet return?

    main vent

I am just concerned that when the condensate flows back from the radiator attached to the riser the water wont go into the vent. Is that a concern? also How do you put the vent into the pipe do you drill a hole in the pie and make threads and screw it in. Will that work or will it damage the pipe?

I dont want to put it where the return joins the main be caise thats in a bedrroom and will make to much noise.
