Automatic water feeder

Hi. I have been told by some installers that I need an automatic water feed. Others tell me I do not. Now I am confused, because I do not know who is right. What is better for the boiler?
I have a Burnham steam boiler.
Thank you!

water-feeder or not?
if you are at home at least every other day, then my belief is that you do not need a water-feeder. if this a rental, then maybe a water-feeder would be a good thing. checking the water leval oneself is always good because you can spot certain problems before they become major, and you have to blow down the LWCO once a week anyway. if you get a feeder, get one with a delay and water meter built in.
and hats off to you for stating that you need a LWCO!--nbc0
