Strange Radiator

One of my radiator heats up from the side where the air vent is attach FIRST, then the heat slowly spreads to the side where the pipe is attach. Is this normal??

What type of vent
are you using and does it differ from the other radiators?Cost is what you spend , value is what you get.

Here are pictures of the radiator, the first section that gets hot is the midsection where the air vent is attach. The vent will close and the radiator will take long time to get hot.
I don't know how long it has been like that.0
