Reliability of V8H Series? Want to go American

After almost choosing a Buderus 115, we're thinking instead of going American mainstream. Was tempted with the System 2000 but they have very limited service in our area.

So I'm considering the Burnham VH83. Looks like it has some good reviews, but it replaced the V7 series that was known for leaking and other problems. Is the V8H4 a reliable, run of the mill, tried and true American made unit?

    Go MPO

Forget the V8H Series. Go with the MPO-IQ package. Not only is the boiler 87% AFUE but allows for outdoor reset via a simple plug in card. That also goes for the Low Water Cutoff.

    What's wrong with

Weil/McLain Golds (WGO/WTGO)? They are American made, reasonably priced, easy to clean and service, and easy to install.

We all like what we like.

    I agree

I agree with Chris, MPO is the way to go if it has to be American

    What's wrong?

The same thing that's wrong with any single pass pin boiler!
