Idea on variable speed fractional fan motors

I have been working on a control scheme for the GE ecm motor 2.3 version. Looks like with off the shelf items, ie motor control board, static pressure transducer & set point control. We can come up with a good alternative to vfds and 3 phase motors. The cost is probably a couple hundred bucks less than the vfd version when you add all up and no programming of vfd. Could be simple retro for higher end water to air jobs that you want to zone control. No separate speed controller. Set up your required static for full capacity air flow with all zones open and then it will scale back as zones close off. Total cost appx 500 with motor. Parts are, ge ecm motor vs enabled, greystone sp transducer, evo motor controller with 0-10vdc input, watlow setpoint controller 0-10vdc .
