Hi all
I could use some help. I have a customer with a serious upper respiratory condition. I need to treat and clean the customer’s steam boiler I would normally use Dry Steam. Usually a no brainer but with this customers condition I am having some misgivings about using the Dry Steam. I have read the MSDS on the cleaner and it is leaving me with too many questions. Does anyone have experience with something like this or may be some kind of "safe boiler cleaner"?
Thanks alot

Boiler cleaning.
Hi- I understand your dilemma. A lot of the boiler cleaning compounds contain chemicals that can be pretty harsh. I've used Rhomar Water products for boiler cleaning and maintenance.

Most of their stuff is bio degradable. I'd give them a call and ask them what they thought about your situation and have them to email you the appropriate MSDS. They are good guys to work with and very knowledgeable.

Hello, Sal.
I know we do work in the same areas. It would be my pleasure to meet you one of these days.
We've been shying away from chemical cleaning of boilers because of the toxicity either real or perceived by the many families we work for.
Instead, we're spending more time flushing, refilling and skimming and charging for our time.
Hope this helps.
