LWCO troubleshooting

I have McDonnel Miller series 67 manual LWCO. Its about 7 years old, and while i didnt religously blow it down every 2 weeks, i have done it at least once a month since it was installed.
Last year I noticed when I tested it while my steam boiler was running, it did not shut down. I suspect it might be the float.
Is there a way to fix this? (force water up the discharge pipe?)
I was also thinking of checking the electrical connection thats made directly to this unit with a digital VOM. What voltage reading should I get?
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated

renewing the lwco
if the lwco is not shutting off the burner, when the valve is opened; then the most likely cause would be a stuck float.
the lwco needs to be taken apart, inspected, and perhaps rebuilt, using a kit available from the manufacturer. fortunately, for perhaps the most important part of your system, it is a simply mechanism.--nbc0
