Cold Rad

One rad in a first floor extension of my house has not heated up for years. The rad in the room next door in the same extension works fine. This is a pump assisted hot water system and all the other rads on all three floors work well.
The cold rad seems to be full of water (it was leaking recently from the valve before the nut was tightened). Could someone tell me what the possible causes of this might be and how to go about trouble shooting it? I'd like to have some idea where I stand before I call in a professional.
Thanks

Could be several things wrong here, like improper piping, an obstruction or air issue. Without knowing what your system looks like, its hard to give anything specific. Your best bet is to call in a pro.0 -

Thanks. That's what I'll do.0
