What would you do to service a gas steam boiler, aside from checking the low water cut off?

Joseph, I would start out by going to the manufactures website and looking up the mauual for your boiler.  There will be a section on maintenance that will advise you of what you can do and what you should hire.  One of the most important is to make sure its burning and drafting correctly.
