1 pipe radiator on a 2 pipe system ?

I have a 2 pipe steam system. I am doing some renovations and have partitioned one room into 2. The original radiator is to big for the new smaller room, it has a large spud on the upper portion of one side and a 3/4 inch fip on the lower portion of the other side for the return.
I have obtained a smaller radiator from a one pipe system that fits perfectly in the new room and appears to be about the right size for the room. It has a large spud on on the lower part of one side and a 3/4 inch FIP(plugged) on lower portion of the other side. Can I use the 1 pipe radiator with the 2 pipe system.
Thanks,
Chris

That should work
Measure the height of each of those tappings from the floor. If there is a difference, the lower one should be the return. All Steamed Up, Inc.
