a great document i find today

I found this document today .. it's premise is switching to Natural Gas from Residual Oil .. however, it has many interesting sections regarding increasing overall system efficiency, TRVs, steam vs. HW, etc. It speaks mainly to NYC, but many parts are general enough for wider distribution. Perhaps this has been uncovered before, but I thought I'd pass it along. BTW, there are parts that I would tend to argue about, especially where it mentions that steam systems are loud and unbalanced. It even mentions Dan H. and heatinghelp.com...

    Finally sat down and read this article.  I came away with the impression it was an internet researched term paper from a bright eyed, bushy tailed Environmental Science major that had just interviewed a gas company salesman. As with most of these type issues, there are some valid points and others that aren't so practical.

    Here's something that might be of interest. Henry Gifford has just got himself in the news.
