Need Antique Bleeder Valve - Pics

Hello All-



I am in need of either a replacement bleeder valve with bleeder screw, or just the bleeder screw. Pics attached.



I have tried one of the new ones, (the shiny silver/chrome ones you can easily get), but it rattles in the threads of the antique radiator. I have also tried removing the bleeder screw from the new one and using it in the old, but its not deep enough.



I have also tried using teflon tape on the new valve and it seems to work ok, but its not mine, its my customers. I would hate for something to happen at 3 a.m. or while they are gone.



Please help! The system in not charged while we wait on this part.

Use jbweld and put a nipple into the radiator. put on a coupling and thread the bleeder into the coupling. I use a nipple one size up from close.

Bush it...

Using the proper drill size for a 1/4" pipe thread tap, covered with grease to keep the chips from falling where they may, drill the 1/8" tapping out, tap with a grease covered 1/4" NPT tap, throw a 1/4 X 1/8 bushing in, and on to the next victim.

Mark I am often not lucky enough

To have a nice big boss to tap it out to 1/4". I like the grease idea I will remember that one.
