Too much water

The other day, I accidentally overfilled my boiler. I drained it down but now it won't work. What's the problem?

overfilling problem
there is probably a reset button on your pressuretrol whose purpose is to shut off the boiler when the maximum pressure has been exceeded. this forces the owner to have a look and see if everything is OK. probably, the over-filling causes the pressure, from the water column, to rise above the set-point, and needs to be reset.
at least that is where i would look first.--nbc0
