    Interesting

    I like the part where they say the standards are too stringent. What they are saying is that we don't want to spend the money it is going to cost to convert to boilers (most likely from across the pond) that meet the standard.

    Well, we've seen some commercial boilers

    that were way out of tune, lacked low-high-low or modulating firing and were otherwise not running the way they should. I could show you a pair of gas-fired 175-HP Scotch Marine boilers that had never seen a combustion analyzer in the first 25 years of their lives. God only knows how much gas they wasted, and how much more emissions they produced as a result.



    So if this law requires commercial and industrial boilers to be better tuned, maintained and upgraded, I'm for it. This is what Gordon and I are good at!
