I need to replace my steam boiler. My boiler is currently oil fired but I am considering to switch to gas.

I am looking for guidance to make a buying decicion and have the following questions

#1 Is a gas fired steam boiler less expensive to purchase, install and operate?

#2 Is a gas fired steam boiler running quieter than oil fired steam boiler? (What is the quitest steam boiler on the market)

#3 Has a gas-fired steam boiler better  heat-loss/insulation efficiency than a oil-fired?

#4 Should I go for a tankless water heater option?
