Anyone out there know what the 'B' in WOB stands for? I found it on an old OS&Y gate valve. I know WOG stands for water, oil or gas.But what is WOB?

    WOB

    I dought it means World of Britney, but here is a shortcut to a list of acronyms that might answer your question.  My guess is Wolfsburg Germany.

    Water Oil or Brine makes sense.

     Wob = no steam allowed.

    WOB gate valve

    This six inch gate valve was installed on a high pressure steam reducing station in a N.Y. college. Is this 250 lb. rated valve OK? Is the WOB positively not rated for steam?
