Has anyone had experience with radiant heat under an ice rink to prevent frost buildup in the ground?
What are the design basics I should be aware of?

pex tubing manufacturer assistance
I have recently worked on a project for frozen food cold storage warehouses. Whatever pex tubing you use, use their resources to start. I would like to offer a suggestion, use the "waste" heat from the refrigeration side to heat the ground below with a boiler backup. Paul Rohrs wrote an article (in PHC News I believe) about it and it worked great for my project.
Hope this helps.

Ice Rink
Why not use a chiller that creates glycol to -8C and recovers the heat... free heat COPs go through the roof. Great way to do it. Aermec NRL with heat recovery, now available in North America0
