zoning a gravity system

I have what appears to be a gravity system that has had a circulater added at some point. If I am replacing my boiler can I remove the large feed and return pipe system that is in the basement and do multiple zones by running home runs with pex to were the pipes enter the basement.

that would be one way....
the other would be to reduce some of your near boiler piping down and then add TRV's (thermastatic radiator valves) to each rad. Run the piping off of 1 Alpha type pump (Grunfos or Wilo) and let it go.... kpc0 -
zoning cont.
I was trying to kill two birds with one stone, zoning and getting rid of the large supply and return lines (head room in the basement). Does anyone have any info on revamping a system in this (or similar way?) Is it worth while?0
