Steam Mini-Summit in Cleveland

Finally got to meet Gerry Gill and Terry Tekushan, at Gerry's house where we looked over his new mini-tube system. I took a few more pics, but it looks so much better when you see it up close.

The side-arm tank hanging from the ceiling feeds the storage tank next to it, which runs a hot-water loop on the second floor that had been installed previously.

We fired the boiler and determined the "B" dimension was enough that the system can run on gravity return, after a couple piping modifications.

From left to right: Terry, Gerry and some guy from Baltimore who almost broke the camera.

Time for a major steam summit- who's interested?

And quite a summit it was

Well, it certainly was nice to finally meet you in person, Steamhead! And that Gerry guy-- he's really good, isn't he? (Hi Gerry!)

Of course, it felt a little clandestine without Steve or Gordo there, but it's a good start. This calls for a LARGE steam summit, although there may be regulations against such things, what with our plans to revolutionize and take over the heating industry and all...

Gerry will have a winter with this new system and hopefully I'll haved some experience with some of the non conventional stuff I hope to be working on.

There was an error rendering this rich post.
