I saw Jon Anderson of Yes perform a solo acoustic gig at the Ridgefield Playhouse in CT last night. If you are a fan of Yes you would have loved this show. Many of the songs he played were the way they were originally written. Pretty neat to hear those songs in their very basic form, instead of the complex manner that Yes plays them. He did a few of his own songs too, some of which he wrote during his recovery of his severe health issues.



His voice was as clear as ever. It's such a distinctive voice too. I saw Yes earlier this year with Benoit David singing lead. While he could hit the notes, he's no Jon Anderson. It would be nice if they got back together again.



As far as Jon the man, I am very interested to find out more about him. He has a twinkle in his eye and a great outlook on love, life, and music.
