underground Anchor and Guide sizing

Allstressedout
Member Posts: 1
I am working on the design of a direct burial underground steam line and am having trouble finding appropriate literature for anchor and guide sizing parameters. Typically, I would size the anchors to withstand the force induced by a fully restrained line, but site conditions will not allow for the anchor sizing I have specified. I am having difficulty determining the resulting spring force at the expansion loops and 90's caused by the expansion of the steam lines. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Direct-buried Steam Lines
I've never seen anybody use expansion loops with a direct buried steam system, and I'm not sure how you could make them work, once you backfill. I've used manholes - spaced as much as 400 feet part - that contained expansion joints, drip-leg/trap assemblies, isolation valves, etc.
What's the operating pressure, and how long is your run?0
