Floor Sensors for Raupanel

I'm getting ready to do my first radiant job using raupanel and was wondering how you would implement a floor sensor with it. The only way I can figure is using a router, cut a groove in the 2" filler strips, then silicone the floor sensor into the groove. Does this sound good to you guys? Has anybody else used a different method? Thanks for your help.
