Buderus Heat Exchanger

I've been told to use mineral oil to clean the deposits that collect between the fins on the heat exchanger tubes. What's the best way to apply the oil, how long should it be left to soak, and what's the suggested way to remove it? Thanks, Fred in Colorado

cleaning instructions
I'm not sure how to archive on here but I did a google search to find a previous thread. Here it is, http://www.heatinghelp.com/forum-thread/127500/Buderus-H-X-cleaning, check out Radman's post. I've used a cheap paint brush to apply the oil with good results. Good Luck!0 -
Thank You
Many thanks for the informative answer. I should have limited my German equipment to our fierce little Krups coffee grinder; a computer controlled German boiler was a bridge too far.0
