Oil burner rumbling on start up and end

Beckett burner with a L 1 air tabulator on the nozzle assembly.3 section Lennox boiler. 1 pipe top feed to burner.
It started as a normal yearly cleaning. Changed oil filter, A strainer, .75 70A nozzle. Removed smoke stack, vacuumed chimney and boiler.
Started her up fine. Upon shut off there was additional oil from nozzle that caused a rumble in the boiler and smoke pipe.
Took out the nozzle to check again and noticed the air tabulator was coming apart. Replaced it with a new L 1. Same thing...extra oil after shut off and rumbling.
Smoke test was clean. Draft over flame was -.02 breach -.04
I moved the nozzle assembly forward which stopped the extra oil and rumbling but then I had a bad smoke reading. Draft over flame was +.03 -.04 breach.
I'm going to call Beckett today to get the right settings.
Any ideas why this would be happening and what I can do to stop it before calling Beckett?
Thanks,
Maz

I have used these with good success on different rumbling applications.

They screw-on in place of the nozzle filter and are sized according to your pumps pressure setting.0 -
Dave
These are nozzles that you replace with the Typical Delvan nozzle?0 -
Maz
Yes they are, look around the Delavan site for more info.
I had a PDF but it will not load,,,, aaarrrggg!0 -

That will cause problems. Where, if any, is the filter located? Vacuum test?0 -
