I am looking for some help on properly sizing hydronic lines to an attic fan coil from a basement boiler. The connections on the fan coil are 3/4'', but i have seen people run 1'' from the basement to the attic before. Is this nessasary?? Please help

piping size
It all depends on the amount of BTU's you want to give off, The maximum temp of the boiler supply water and what the air handler is rated for. Also will this loop have it's own pump or will it be just another loop off of the header?0 -
fan coil help
The loop has its own pump, and the boiler water temp should be around 180 degrees. As far as the fan coil btu's i have to find out, there is another contractor installing it. thanks0
