Underground steam piping

I need to replace 80 ft of 6" steam and 2" condensate piping that's about 3' underground in North Dakota. Any ideas? I have some thoughts but it never hurts to findout what's out there.

    Are the pipes buried directly

or are they in some sort of conduit?

    In a conduit

They are in a pipe about 20" in diameter and about 1/16" thick. We had to cut a window to put a temporary patch on the steam line. It looks prefabbed. Could it be Rickwell (spell check)? I cannot find it on the internet.
