building next door whle under construction violated chimney. Cracked chimney liner, both buildings share a common wall where the chimney is located. The building has a 8 inch flue going out of the chimney into a 4 inch chimney flue. . The burner is a Beckett model afg which burns 1.75-2.50 p/h. What is the best way to repair the chimney? Place a insert in the chimney or run a new flue pipe hrough the basement to the back of the building and up four stories. About a 75 foot run from the boiler room.

flue size
You should bring in a couple of chimney companies and compare their advise. A 4" flue is a little small for that nozzle sizes you mentioned,0
