on a big job i've been donating my time to for the last 4 weeks, we just got in some #2's from pexsupply.com (they were nice enough to let me go pick-up again) .. however i wanted to note the the #2's seemed to be "frozen" out of the box .. I needed to give them a few good raps with my palm before they freed up. they all passed the blow tests just fine. hopefully we will refire the system tomorrow after 4 long dirty weeks of a full rework of the system and i feel that the vents may well be the least of our worries.

i wonder if they use some sort of waxy protectant, which has to soften with heat to work smoothly. that would explain the initial stickiness.

is this project worthy of pictures and explanation? if so please post them here. before and after stories illustrate how a seemingly impossible situation can be improved bit by bit. maybe this is br. mariano's friary.--nbc
