Leaking hot water

In a gas boiler older than you and I, the hot water coil seems to be leaking into and filling the steam system. Plan to bypass it. anything to watch out for?

make sure it is caps with a relief valve

not a plug or cap as the leak could corrode shut and create a closed loop with no where to expand.

replacement coil?

i did find a place online once that had replacement coils for my Fiztgibbons 400 .. have you looked into a possible replacement? .. in fact, I've found it again: http://www.tfi-everhot.com/pdfs/TFI_TanklessCoils.pdf

actually at this time they just want to waiti out the the boilers life span. [I guess till it breaks on a weekend in January]. Thanks for the help MB
