Firefighter Saves Elderly Woman's Life

A man from Northumberland County is being credited with saving an

elderly woman's life.







Mildred Blass is thankful for neighbors like Harvey Boyer in Elysburg.

Mildred says it's because of him she was saved from carbon monoxide

poisoning.







"I'm very grateful. I'm old, but I still enjoy my life. I'm grateful,"

said Mildred.







Harvey Boyer was on his way to work last week when he saw yellowish

smoke coming from Mildred's chimney in Elysburg.







"As I drove by, I noticed it was a different color than what it would be

normally," said Boyer.
