BROOKLYN (WABC) --

Elevated carbon monoxide readings prompted the evacuation of at least 30

residents of brownstones in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn.

At least three homes on Sackett Street were evacuated by

firefighters just after 6 a.m. Carbon monoxide readings over 500 parts

per million were detected in the buildings.

At least 30

residents were evacuated from the buildings.

They were

sheltered in a warming bus at the scene.
