can I tell for sure if I have received a defective Gorton #2. I ordered 2 from Pex Supply and one of them makes no sound when shaken and I cannot blow through it. The pair of them will be installed on the north and south antler in the photo.

Try
holding the one that you can't blow thru under the faucet, run some water into it, then shake it. If that doesn't clear it, send it back.
Gorton had a bad batch of #2 vents come thru, but they'll take care of it.All Steamed Up, Inc.

OK
I'll try that. In the likely event that I have to send it back and wait for a replacement, Do you think its OK to just install one?
Current configuration is one boiler riser going to a T which creates the north and south loop.0
