Low Water Cut Off
First you need to deliver power to the lwco , From the 24 volt transformer you need to pick up the load side of the transformer , could be marked "Red" or "load" ... You will bring it up to the "L 1" terminal or lead of the low water cut off ... Then from "L 2" of the lwco you run a wire to the Common of the transformer , one of the leads of the gas valve will be tied in to it .… So far we powered up the lwco .…
Now you need to wire the burner circuit into the control to be able to cut of the burner in the event of low water .. The burner wiring is wired series , From one switch to the other. Depends on the unit so Lets just say .. From the the load of the transformer through the stack damper , aqua-stat ,spill switches and ending up to the gas valve . You would need to cut into this circuit and send it through the "normally closed" switch of your low water cut off .. You can look on your paper work that came with your control to grasp it better .....There was an error rendering this rich post.
