tip,when drillin through beams for a 1" steam line.....make it a 1 1/2 hole:)

    ya know what,make it a 2" hole,thats what my pops taught me......really he said 2" hole for 1" steam pipe. Stem heat is man heat,i want a new house with cast iron heat emiters in every room and a nice steam boiler,with a hartford loop.....for yous that dont know bout that,you just keep on bein a sally an listen to your wife. Leave the plumbing and heating to the manly men.   fyy 22 1/2 to center of T last loop i put in. Now,excuse me....its time for the high life,miller high life time. :)

    And depends on the beam , but around here you cannot exceed 1/3 the W of the wooding beam and never notch them .. Laminated beams you cannot cut in at all unless you want to take the liability from the manufacture ..
