tip,when drillin through beams for a 1" steam line.....make it a 1 1/2 hole:)

ya know what,make it a 2" hole,thats what my pops taught me......really he said 2" hole for 1" steam pipe. Stem heat is man heat,i want a new house with cast iron heat emiters in every room and a nice steam boiler,with a hartford loop.....for yous that dont know bout that,you just keep on bein a sally an listen to your wife. Leave the plumbing and heating to the manly men. fyy 22 1/2 to center of T last loop i put in. Now,excuse me....its time for the high life,miller high life time.0 -

And depends on the beam , but around here you cannot exceed 1/3 the W of the wooding beam and never notch them .. Laminated beams you cannot cut in at all unless you want to take the liability from the manufacture ..There was an error rendering this rich post.
