having problem with flow in a building 10 story building 247 units all fan coil.

here's what happened had a pipe brake third floor, shut off supply stack shut off return stack made repair half inch branch line to fan coil.turn back on supply turn back on  return bled all air out all fan coil on stack bled top of stack no flow in stack? checked valves they are good and working and open pumps are pumping still no flow in main stacks it's like the water is passing the stack wright up.

    Make sure pumps are off when bleeding air, than bump them on and off, keep fill press. high while bleeding.  If you dont have a fast fill, fill with garden hose attached to city press.( check to see if all equip. is rated for city press.)  Sometimes it's a matter of just waiting for air to find its way to highest point. If you have a compression tank make sure it's not flooded.

    Dropped gate in closed position...

    Rising stem gate valves have been known to drop their gates in the closed position.



    You could be filling only 1/2 of the system.
