Plugged circulator

on a radiant system . this is the 3rd pump that has been found in this condition .Other problem was  rusted extrol tanks .The tubing is" onyx "with a oxygen barrier .But the supplier has told me that the tubing is "the good stuff" Any other suggestion ,besides the tubing.

  • Hi Jim,,,

try putting a wye strainer ahead of the circ,,,, then you`ll have your proof of what the problem is. ;-)

    You're not alone Big...

Numerous people have expressed concern over the buildup of "gunk" inside of these systems. My good friend Richard "Der Heatmesiter" Graves has gotten to the point, that if he comes across it in the field, he pretty much condemns it. He's tried every chemical in the Rhomar line to no avail.

I have my theories as to how it is that oxygen is getting into the system, but they are unproven. And you are correct, the manufacturer does not recognize any problems with the tube.

    Sad but true.
