Zone valve placement?

I posted this elsewhere on the wall... the wrong place.



Where is the preferable place to put the zone valves, supply or return?



Mine are currently on the return.

    Doesn't matter

    The thought is putting them on the return they will see cooler temps. But they're rated for any temps you'll encounter in a hydronic system so on the supply will work just fine.
