Non heating related, but a while back a contractor came across a whirlpool gas h w heater with left hand threads on the thermocouple. Would anybody remember were these can be located ? In the York, Pa. area.

I believe.....
American branded hot water tanks sold in home centers (Lowe's) use the same LH thermocouple. You may be able to find them there. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Replacement Burner Assy
Call Whirlpool and they will send the entire burner assembly. The left handed thermocouple is no longer available. Lowes is supposed to stock the replacement burner assemblies and give them free to customers who purchased the tanks from them. It is my experience that no one at Lowes knows anything about them. Your customer can call Whirlpool as long as they have the model # and serial # and they will ship NDA for free!0
