Allstate Insulaation

I went to order some 1' thick pipe insul. for 2' pipe today on-line

It turns out that Allstate Insulation is only 15 min. from my house.

I picked some up for 5.67 for a 3 foot pc.

Great stuff, much better than the junk I got at home depot. The crap at home depot was much more money, only 1/2" thick, and the tape did not seal. I had to staple it all shut. PITA.  The Allstate stuff is way better and you peal the tape strip and it actually works!!

Thank you everyone for the advise on where to get the insul.

I can highly recommend Allstate Insulation.

I would also like to add that Pex supply is back ordered on gorton #2`s. They said it might be 2 weeks.

I asked FW Webbs for gorton #2 vents and had them by ground carried in 3 days.

if allstate insulation was that close, then you are in my neck of the woods in QN or BK NYC .. I would give Gil Meyerowitz Plumbing Supply a call .. when Pex was backordered, I went to Meyerowitz and they had the parts .. the guys in Meyerowitz are super cool and I am happy to recommend them. http://www.meyerowitzsupply.com/  I went in one day to ask about orifices .. they had never heard of them, but one of the guys pulled out and original 1925 Hoffman Specialty Data Book from his day bag (not tucked away on some shelf) .. and they found the orifices I spoke about in there. (Funny the orifices are not in the version of the book that Dan has on this site)



Also if you are that close, then we should get together and compare notes.
