Hello all..........working on an old boiler installed in the early '30's. Made by National Radiator and Boiler company. The boiler model # is 3-SW-6. Does anyone have any idea what the BTU input rating is on this dinosaur? Thanks for any reply.

google
do a google search for 'clocking gas meter' and follow the instructions. That will tell you the exact BTUs the boiler is burning. Very easy. They could have made 10 different sizes...

off wall ... maybe it is the 3-O-6 on PDF Pg 7 here: http://www.heatinghelp.com/files/articles/947/190.pdf .. I think that "S" is steam "W" is water .. O might indicate both.1-pipe Homeowner - Queens, NYC
