    gee, for the money

and performance the  extruded Blue board is really the only way to go. the bubble stuff is crap, Poly iso is really not rated for ground contact.

Robert bean's site has for info on it... [url=http://www.healthyheating.com/Page%2055/Page_55_o_bldg_sys.htm]http://www.healthyheating.com/Page%2055/Page_55_o_bldg_sys.htm

    1-1/2- 2"

of foamboard, don't forget the vapor barrier below to break the capillary action. i used Crete-Heat foam on a few jobs and really liked it. A bit more money to purchase but a labor saver and a nice tight tube spacing and hold down.

One thought about the crete heat and other insulation/tubing systems

In a perfect world the tubing should be in the middle of the slab.  There does not seem to be any chance of that with these type of products.  Now we all know the concrete animals are there to get the mud spread out and get outta there and to the next job.  But I have gotten some of them to try and pull the mesh and tubing up to the middle of the slab.  I wonder where it really ends up?

Back to insulation, I think you can't beat 2" poly blue board. Make sure to get it around the edges too.
