Mixing valve piping

I am piping a TT-110 to a Smart 40, and would like to see if there is a perfected placement/piping for the mixing valve. I plan on using a Honeywell AM101C-1. And I realize there are half-a-dozen different ways to pipe & place it but I figure I would try to get some already tried and true ideas. For instance, I do not really have room to pipe out the 12" heat trap because the CWS is flush to the floor beams as well as the existing hot water brass supplying the kitchen & bathroom. Maybe I will pipe down and then up, much like Watts suggests?
