Tjernland SS-1 problems
Does anyone out there know if there's supposed to be a hole on the inside of the inside enclosure that the squirrel cage fits into? I replaced a squirrel cage on a 10 yr old one and its very noisey, kind of like a harmonic screech for lack of a better term. I don't know what the old one sounded like, it was broke when I got there.

Don't know
about the hole. Never noticed one before, but also wasn't looking for it. A screech sounds more like the squirrel cage is hitting the housing. We always change the motor and fan as one unit. Eliminates alignment issues.0 -
Thanks
I never really looked for one either. Nobody from tjernlund has replied, nor has the supply house that I deal with....0 -
the hole is a knockout for use with a standing pilot
its to allow for a standing pilot.
