For Mac users

At least a couple of people have asked about Mac versions of various heating related Windows programs. I recently discovered a program called Wine (link below) that supposedly lets you run a Windows application on a Mac without Windows. The program is free, but it's not a dead simple install. I haven't tried it.

There is no problem running any Windows program on a MAC,

and I believe this will spell either the end of PC's or a major change in the way they operate. If you buy a Mac, you can also buy a program called VMware Fusion. This program allows you to run a virtual version of your existing Windows desktop, and all related programs, plus all info stored within. This program is really a stepping stone from Windows to Mac, once you start using and learning how a Mac works you will rarely use your Windows desktop. I now only rarely use my Windows, just for my existing Windows programs. I don't want to sound like some pinko Mac user, but it is nice to have a computer that comes with a wireless key board, mouse, and now a wireless printer. Oh and no tower, tangle of wires, and a 26 inch screen. Did I mention Macs cannot get viruses and their hard drives don't go up in smoke every couple of years? The program is not free, maybe it cost $100, who really cares? I would have paid $1000 to get away from Windows and their endless operation system upgrades. In our office, our system caught a virus from an email attachment from a supplier, this wiped out our hard drive, so who keeps up with backups? Not me, we lost 6 months of customer files, later after restoring all the records via paper invoices and from repeat visits, the hard drive crashed and we lost 1 month of records. That was it, I am never going back. After you guys have had enough you are going to kick yourself for not changing 10 years ago.
