English radiators

I've looked at a couple of British web sites with scads of  stylish steams stuff.  I did the conversion from watts to BTU to square feet- should work.  Needs some metric adapters.  But can you get it in the US?

Hey- it's not a dumb idea

My wife is Russian.  Everything there is two pipe steam with tiny radiators (in new installations).

I guess it's tubes in the floor or nothing.
  • My advice

to you is to stick with radiators you can buy in this country.  As beautiful as they look, there are often problems.  Late shipments, back-ordered items that never get filled, dropped orders, wrong dimensions, damaged in transit..........

    Just my 2¢
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

    Dimensions

The rads you are looking at will likely have running threads rather than tapered.  This is definitely something to be considered.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

I've been recommending this thread sealant for years:

It's anaerobic and will seal where other sealants fail.

Does this stuff work with steam?

Do they sell it in slightly smaller quantities!?

    Thank you gentlemen

I think I'll walk Burnham literature down to Bayonne Plumbing and steer my wife to the Manhattan design place.

I'll check back for a few days.  I'm having fun with my little steam system.
